2026 WCQ: Bafana game will be tough, but we are ready — Ajayi
Semi Ajayi anticipates a difficult test against South Africa's Bafana Bafana, but insists that the Super Eagles are prepared to fight for a victory.
The Super Eagles will face Hugo Broos' men at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, looking for their first win in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification series.
It will be a rematch of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final match, which the Super Eagles won 4-2 on penalties.
Ajayi believes the Super Eagles are battle-ready for the contest.
"It will be a tough game," Ajayi said to reporters at the team's Ibom Hotel and Resort base in Uyo.
"They gave us a tough encounter at the AFCON in Ivory Coast, so we're not expecting anything less this time.
"But we're obviously prepared for this, and we're going to get the win we need. But it certainly won't be simple."
The game will start at 8 p.m. Nigerian time.
