“Four Men Rejected Me Before My Husband Came” — Tope Alabi Shares Powerful Testimony on Love, Faith, and God’s Timing

“Four Men Rejected Me Before My Husband Came” — Tope Alabi Shares Powerful Testimony on Love, Faith, and God’s Timing

Popular gospel singer Tope Alabi has opened up about her emotional journey to marriage, revealing that she faced rejection from four men who abruptly ended their relationships with her after seeking spiritual advice.

In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram, the 55-year-old singer recounted how, as a young woman eager to settle down, things would always take a strange turn just when it seemed marriage was around the corner.

“When I became an adult and it was getting to a stage that I needed to take men to meet my parents, something strange always came up,” she said. “The men would just say they needed to go and pray about it, and afterward, they would stop reaching out to me.”

According to Alabi, the rejections often carried spiritual undertones. On one occasion, she learned that a potential suitor had been advised by prophets not to marry her.

“One of our intermediaries once told me that one of the men had gone to meet prophets who told him I was not okay to be married to,” she said. “I can count like four men that stylishly left me. Would you then tell me not to thank God whenever I remember that?”

Despite these disappointments, Alabi eventually found love in the most unexpected way — through her boss at work, who introduced her to Soji Alabi, the man who would later become her husband.

However, even their union had its own challenges.

“The man promised to marry me, but I told him that’s what all men say,” she recalled. “After he told my parents he would come for proper introduction, we stopped seeing each other. My father had already given out my hand in marriage to another suitor before he travelled.”

Today, Tope Alabi is happily married to Soji Alabi, her longtime producer and manager, and they share three children. Looking back, she says her story is proof that God’s timing is perfect, even when life seems full of delays and disappointments.

“When I look back, I just thank God for how everything turned out. It was not easy, but it was worth it,” she said with gratitude.

💬 Opinion: A Lesson in Patience and Divine Timing

Tope Alabi’s story isn’t just a tale of heartbreak and rejection — it’s a powerful reminder that delays are not denials. In a world where people often rush to “force” relationships or lose hope after a few disappointments, her testimony underscores the truth that what is truly yours will never pass you by.

Many people would have grown bitter after being rejected multiple times, especially for reasons beyond their control. Yet, Tope’s decision to keep trusting God — even when others doubted her worth — shows the strength of a woman anchored in faith.

Her experience is also a wake-up call for those who rely too heavily on “spiritual consultations” before love decisions. While faith is vital, sometimes fear disguised as prophecy can rob us of destiny connections.

Today, Tope Alabi stands as a woman who turned rejection into redirection, and pain into purpose. Her life proves that when it’s God’s time, everything — even the heartbreaks — makes sense in hindsight.
