Angela Okorie Slams Burna Boy Over Lamborghini Promise to Sophia Egbueje
Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has called out Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy for allegedly failing to fulfill his promise of buying socialite Sophia Egbueje a Lamborghini after a one-night stand.
The controversy began after a leaked audio recording surfaced, in which Sophia accused Burna Boy of not delivering on his supposed agreement to reward her with the luxury car.
Angela Okorie: "Burna Boy Took Advantage of Her"
Reacting in a video posted on her Instagram page, Okorie expressed her disappointment in Burna Boy, stating that he should have upheld his promise instead of exploiting Sophia.
“This is the wrongest thing any celebrity will ever do,” she said.
Okorie argued that Sophia had already set her terms, making it clear what she expected in return.
“She told you her price. She has named her worth as a Lamborghini. If you could afford that, then you could sleep with her,” Okorie stated.
She further emphasized that as a global superstar, Burna Boy should be setting a better example rather than engaging in such transactions and failing to honor his word.
“God made you a mega superstar for a reason – to advocate for people who cannot speak and to help those in need. Instead, you took advantage of her,” she added.
A Divisive Debate: Morality vs. Responsibility
Okorie’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions online. Some believe she has a point—if Burna Boy made a commitment, he should own up to it. Others argue that this situation shouldn’t be glorified, as it highlights a growing culture of transactional relationships where money, sex, and luxury are interwoven.
The bigger question remains:
💭 Should celebrities be held accountable for their promises in such personal matters?
💭 Is this issue about morality, or simply a case of failing to honor an agreement?
