Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, have been drawn into a tricky Group B alongside Tunisia, Morocco, and Kenya for the upcoming 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The group stage pairings were revealed during a fresh draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Cairo, Egypt on Sunday. The draw follows the announcement that Egypt will now host the tournament after Côte d’Ivoire’s withdrawal.

The Flying Eagles, who are seven-time champions of the tournament, will begin their campaign against Tunisia on Sunday, April 28.

Meanwhile, Group A features hosts Egypt, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Zambia, and Tanzania, promising an intense battle for the top two spots. Defending champions Senegal headline Group C, drawn alongside Ghana, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Central African Republic.

The competition officially kicks off on Saturday, April 27, with Egypt facing South Africa’s Amajita in the opening match.
