Galatasaray Confident of Permanent Deal for Victor Osimhen After Record-Breaking Season
Galatasaray vice president Ibrahim Hatipoglu has confirmed the club’s strong intent to secure a permanent transfer for Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen, following a sensational loan spell that saw him become a fan favourite and club icon in just one season.
The 25-year-old striker was nothing short of phenomenal, scoring 37 goals and providing 8 assists in 41 appearances, helping the Turkish giants clinch a historic domestic double — the Turkish Super Lig and the Turkish Cup.
Despite interest from Saudi giants Al-Hilal, Osimhen made it clear he wants to continue his career in Europe, turning down a highly lucrative offer in favour of competitive ambition. He currently has a €75 million release clause, but Galatasaray remain undeterred.
“When they offered us Osimhen, we didn’t need a striker, but we signed him in two days,” Hatipoglu told AS via TMW.
“Now, with each passing day, the chances of Osimhen staying at Galatasaray increases.”
