“He Took Advantage of My Trust”: Tolanibaj Accuses BrightO of Withholding ₦1 Million, Ends Friendship
Reality TV star Tolanibaj has broken her silence over the reason behind her fallout with fellow Big Brother Naija alum, BrightO — and it’s not pretty. In a revealing social media post, the media personality accused BrightO of withholding ₦1 million meant for her and betraying her trust.
The drama resurfaced after a follower on Snapchat suggested that Tolanibaj should pay a debt allegedly owed to BrightO. But she quickly set the record straight, stating:
“I hate being lied on so I will unfortunately have to publicly address this matter. This is also the reason why I had to cut all ties with Bright O — he stole and took advantage of the trust I had with him in 2023.”
Tolanibaj went further, sharing screenshots of a message she sent to BrightO in 2022, where she confronted him over a payment that had allegedly been made to him on her behalf — money she says she never received.
“Hi Bright, I have been informed that a sum of 1 million was paid to you in November to disburse to me, which I never received, and you never spoke about…”
According to her, BrightO never responded and never refunded the money, which eventually led her to cut all ties and move on without pursuing legal or social drama — until now.
