“We’ll See How That Goes” — Chelsea’s Tosin Adarabioyo Teases Decision on International Future
Chelsea centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo has once again opened the door to a potential switch of international allegiance, stating that a final decision will come soon.
Born in England to Nigerian parents, the 27-year-old has represented England at various youth levels (U16–U19) but is yet to make a senior appearance for the Three Lions — keeping his options open for a Super Eagles call-up.
“That is a question I have answered quite a bit recently,” Tosin told NAN.
“Yeah, it is something that we are looking into in the future. It’s a conversation I want to have; we’ll see how that goes.”
⚽ OPINION: Nigeria Should Move Swiftly — Adarabioyo is a Defensive Asset the Super Eagles Need
With Nigeria’s defense in need of experience, technical discipline, and calm under pressure, Tosin Adarabioyo could be the answer. His Premier League pedigree, sharp positioning, and composure on the ball are exactly what a team chasing a World Cup ticket needs.
Tosin's statement is subtle but encouraging. The NFF must act fast, engage the player meaningfully, and show a clear roadmap for his inclusion. It’s not every day a Chelsea starter becomes available on the international market.
Should Nigeria wait too long, England — or even a missed opportunity — might claim him for good.
