Osimhen Rejects Al-Hilal’s Salary Offer as European Clubs Circle

Osimhen Rejects Al-Hilal’s Salary Offer as European Clubs Circle

The future of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen remains one of the hottest topics in this summer’s transfer window. In a fresh twist, Osimhen has officially rejected the salary offer from Saudi giants Al-Hilal, according to respected Nigerian broadcaster Onyebuchi Onokala, popularly known as Buchi Laba.

While the exact figures were not revealed, the offer is reportedly the same one Osimhen had accepted last year, before Napoli’s unexpected change in financial demands caused the deal to collapse.

“Excl: Victor Osimhen officially turns down Saudi club Al Hilal’s first offer. It was the same offer they made last year,” Buchi Laba wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
“Also, a club from Italy is keen and ready to pay Victor what he wants in wages.
Lastly, Galatasaray too are pushing heavy for his signature. RC not a problem.”

Despite this rejection, Al-Hilal are still in the race and are expected to trigger Osimhen’s €70 million release clause — hoping to finalize the deal before the FIFA Club World Cup.

🧠 Our Take: Loyalty, Legacy or Luxury?

Osimhen’s refusal to jump at Al-Hilal’s offer — despite the financial appeal — shows that the 26-year-old may be weighing more than just a paycheck. After seasons of proving himself in Europe and a recent loan spell at Galatasaray, it’s clear he’s seeking both competitive ambition and personal fulfillment.

With an unnamed Italian club and Galatasaray reportedly pushing for his signature, Osimhen may prefer to remain in Europe — where Champions League football and international acclaim remain within reach.

Could a Serie A reunion be on the cards? Or will he return to Galatasaray where he found rhythm and fan love?

🔥 Fans Buzzing Online:

“He still has more to prove in Europe. Smart decision.”
“Al-Hilal can offer the money, but Osimhen wants legacy!”
“Let’s see if Napoli will finally let him go.”

⚽ What Next?

All eyes are on Friday, when Osimhen is expected to deliver a final response to Al-Hilal. Meanwhile, the tug-of-war between European ambition and Saudi riches continues.
