Frank Edoho Breaks Silence: “I Never Coveted Ebuka’s Job”
Veteran broadcaster Frank Edoho has responded firmly to recent claims by political commentator Japheth Omojuwa, who accused him of throwing subtle jabs over past criticism regarding Edoho potentially replacing Ebuka Obi-Uchendu as host of Big Brother Naija.
🗣️ What Happened?
Omojuwa had taken to social media to suggest that Edoho was still harboring resentment over his refusal to support calls for Frank to host BBNaija, insisting that Edoho had made veiled attacks at him.
But in a calm and classy clapback, Frank Edoho denied ever desiring Ebuka’s job — or any of his colleagues’ roles, for that matter.
“I have never coveted Ebuka’s job, nor the job of any of my colleagues,” Edoho said.
“I have my lane, my work, and I love it.”
✅ The Bigger Picture
Frank Edoho is best known for his iconic role as the host of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire Nigeria, while Ebuka has carved a niche for himself with his charismatic BBNaija presence.
Both men command respect in Nigeria’s media landscape, and Edoho’s mature response has drawn praise from fans online for promoting professionalism and respect among peers.
💬 OPINION: Is It Time to End the Host Wars?
This recurring debate about who should host what show often pits professionals against one another — unnecessarily.
Edoho and Ebuka have both proven themselves capable and charismatic in their respective fields. There’s room for multiple talents in Nigeria’s media scene.
Let’s normalize celebrating talent without dragging someone else down.
What do you think about the Edoho vs Omojuwa drama? Should fans let the BBNaija host debate rest?
