Men Must Still Put in Effort to Impress Women – Tacha Sparks Relationship Debate

Men Must Still Put in Effort to Impress Women – Tacha Sparks Relationship Debate

Popular media personality Symply Tacha has stirred fresh conversations around modern dating and relationship expectations, stating firmly that men should still put in the effort to impress women.

Speaking on the CreativiTEA podcast, Tacha dismissed the growing narrative that men no longer need to impress in relationships, describing it as inconsistent and misleading. According to her, the claim does not align with real-life dating behavior, where men are often eager to take women out, buy gifts, or show off generosity.

“You can’t tell me men don’t have to impress, and every other day you’re telling a girl, ‘let me buy you bottles, let me take you out.’ There has to be effort,” she said.

Tacha stressed that effort is a fundamental part of attraction and bonding, arguing that relationships thrive on intentional gestures. She even drew comparisons from nature, noting that male birds often display vibrant feathers or perform dances to attract female partners.

Questioning the logic behind effort being optional for men, she challenged why women are still expected to maintain standards while some men resist doing the bare minimum.

“If animals understand they have to impress the female, who are you to not understand that you have to impress?” she added, pushing back against what she described as “woke 2025 nonsense.”

She also urged women to be honest about their expectations, warning against accepting minimal effort under the guise of independence or modern thinking.

Opinion: Effort Isn’t Old-School, It’s Essential

Tacha’s comments may sound controversial to some, but they reflect a reality many people quietly acknowledge: effort is not oppression—it’s intention. Relationships, whether modern or traditional, are built on showing interest, consistency, and value.

While gender roles have evolved, mutual effort remains non-negotiable. Impressing doesn’t always mean expensive gifts or grand gestures; sometimes it’s presence, communication, and genuine care. What Tacha highlights is not entitlement, but balance.

In a dating era where “nonchalance” is often worn as a badge of honor, her message is refreshing. Wanting effort doesn’t make women demanding, and giving effort doesn’t make men weak. It simply shows you care enough to try.

As conversations around dating continue to evolve, one thing remains timeless: people value what feels intentional—and effort will always speak louder than excuses.
