Former Phyna, winner of Big Brother Naija, has reportedly lost access to her Instagram account after the platform suspended her page on Monday during an ongoing online dispute with social media critic VeryDarkMan.

The controversy began after Phyna accused VeryDarkMan of attempting to manipulate public opinion against her following claims surrounding a rejected sexual request. The allegation sparked intense debate across social media platforms.

VeryDarkMan, however, denied the accusation and insisted that his interactions were misrepresented, while demanding evidence to support her claims.

In response, Phyna shared alleged private chats on her Instagram page as part of her defence, escalating the already heated exchange online.

Shortly after the posts went viral, her Instagram account was suspended, triggering mixed reactions from users. While some questioned whether she had voluntarily deactivated the page, others pointed to a platform enforcement action.

Clarifying the situation on X (formerly Twitter), Phyna confirmed that she did not take down her account herself.

“I didn’t deactivate my IG. Deactivate say wetin happen na? It got suspended,” she wrote.
