Nollywood Actor Joseph Momodu Becomes US Army Specialist After Completing Military Training

Nollywood actor Joseph Momodu has achieved a major personal milestone after successfully completing Basic Combat Training and officially becoming a Specialist (SPC) in the United States Army.

The actor, who has appeared in several Nollywood productions, shared the news on social media, describing the achievement as a deeply meaningful moment in his life.

Momodu revealed that he enlisted into the United States Army on April 12, 2026, exactly 20 years after the death of his late father, who was a former officer of the Nigerian Police Force.

“Today, it is official: Specialist (SPC) J.A. Momodu, United States Army, 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, 3-10, 3rd Battalion, 10th Infantry Regiment, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri,” he announced.

The actor dedicated the achievement to God, his late father and the royal family of Oba Momodu II of the Avyuele Clan in Agbede, Etsako West, Edo State, describing the moment as a continuation of a legacy.

He also highlighted passing his ASVAB examination on his first attempt and completing the demanding Basic Combat Training as important steps in reaching the milestone.
