Alan Pardew Tips Manchester City as Arsenal’s Biggest Threat in Premier League Title Race ⚽🔥

Former West Ham manager Alan Pardew has backed Manchester City to remain Arsenal’s biggest rivals in the race for this season’s Premier League title, despite Pep Guardiola’s side suffering a dip in form.

Arsenal currently sit four points clear at the top of the table and hold a six-point advantage over City, who were stunned 1-0 by Aston Villa on Sunday. The Gunners are also seven points ahead of defending champions Liverpool, further cementing their position as genuine contenders.

However, Pardew believes City’s experience, quality, and hunger for success will still make them a force to reckon with in the months ahead.

“You can’t but fear Man City making a challenge,” Pardew said on talkSPORT.
“I think there’s a big challenge in them even though they lost at Aston Villa, I really do. The only worry is if they’re too reliant on Haaland, who’s really on form but is still going to need others to pitch in.”

💭 Opinion: Arsenal May Be Ahead, But the Ghost of City Still Looms

Arsenal’s title push this season has been nothing short of impressive — their defensive solidity, attacking balance, and newfound composure in big games have marked a team that’s clearly matured under Mikel Arteta.

Yet, as Pardew rightly pointed out, Manchester City’s threat never truly fades. Pep Guardiola’s men have made a habit of finding form when it matters most, turning title races on their head with frightening consistency. Even when they stumble, they rarely stay down for long.

If Arsenal are to finally lift the Premier League trophy, they’ll have to prove they can outlast City’s inevitable late surge — something few teams have managed in recent years.

However, this season feels different. The Gunners seem more composed, less emotional, and far more clinical in closing out games. With Declan Rice stabilizing midfield, Saka’s brilliance, and Odegaard’s leadership, Arsenal look every bit like a side ready to go the distance.

Final Thought:
While City’s experience makes them dangerous, Arsenal’s hunger might just be their greatest weapon. The title race is far from over — but if the Gunners can hold their nerve and maintain momentum, this could finally be the season North London erupts in glory. 🏆🔴
