Juma Jux Headlines 2025 Detty December Fest with Wife Priscilla Ojo

Lagos came alive on Thursday night as popular Tanzanian music star Juma Jux took the stage alongside his wife, Priscilla Ojo, to headline the 2025 Detty December Fest, one of Africa’s biggest end-of-year music celebrations.

Juma Jux opened his performance with hits “Do I” and “God Design”, collaborating with Nigerian superstar Phyno to thrill the audience. The night also featured stellar performances from Qing Madi, Kashope, Zeez, Mo’Believe, Broda Shaggi, and celebrity hype man Dotun, ensuring a lively, unforgettable experience for fans.

The festival, now a staple in Lagos’ festive calendar, will continue running until December 31, 2025, with legendary American rapper Busta Rhymes set to headline on December 19, followed by Gunna on December 29.

Opinion: Detty December Fest Solidifies Africa’s Global Musical Spotlight

The collaboration between Juma Jux and Priscilla Ojo highlights the growing synergy between African artists across borders, blending Tanzanian and Nigerian sounds for an electrifying experience. Detty December Fest continues to prove that Africa’s music scene is not just vibrant locally but increasingly global in reach, attracting international stars and audiences alike.

By combining local talent with international icons like Busta Rhymes and Gunna, the festival is positioning Lagos as a global hub for music and entertainment during the festive season, creating moments that fans will remember long after the New Year.

This year’s lineup underscores a broader trend: African music is no longer just a regional phenomenon—it’s a global celebration, and events like Detty December Fest are leading the way.
