Popular Nigerian comedian Oluwaseyitan Aletile, widely known as Seyi Law, has stirred fresh political debate after stating emphatically that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains Nigeria’s best shot at true national transformation — even amid the country’s ongoing economic hardship and rising insecurity.
Speaking on the latest episode of the Teju Babyface Deep Dive Podcast, the comedian didn’t mince words when expressing his continued faith in Tinubu, saying:
“I tell you wholeheartedly, not with any sentiment, if Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot redirect the ship of Nigeria, no politician currently can do it. None. Not Atiku, not Peter Obi. Not with what I know about all of them.”

Seyi Law, who was a vocal supporter of Tinubu during the 2023 presidential campaign, admitted that his political stance has cost him dearly — particularly in the entertainment space. “Some Nigerians hate me for supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. They don’t even support my shows anymore. You might not support me today, but I will want to be 70 or 80 and see my children enjoying the benefits of the sacrifices I’ve made today.”
