Tragedy Strikes as Popular TikToker ‘Disturbing’ Dies After Seizure During Live Broadcast
The Nigerian social media community has been thrown into deep mourning following the shocking death of popular TikTok content creator, ‘Disturbing’, who tragically passed away after suffering a seizure during a live broadcast at his home in Ikorodu, Lagos.
TalkTalk Nigeria reports that the heartbreaking incident occurred on Thursday, with viral footage capturing the final moments of the entertainer as he visibly struggled before collapsing. Disturbing, who was not just a viral sensation but also a cobbler and budding musician, had recently gained more fame through his active involvement in the ‘Justice for Mohbad’ movement.
In an emotional statement on TikTok, his wife, Omowunmi, disclosed that he struck his head against a stone when he collapsed.
“Yesterday morning, my husband was on TikTok live while I cooked his food. Suddenly, he had a seizure, fell, and hit his head on a stone. Blood was coming out of his head," she said tearfully.
Despite immediate intervention by neighbours and being rushed to the hospital where he was placed on oxygen, Disturbing sadly passed away on Friday morning.
Omowunmi clarified that her late husband had a known medical history of seizures and dismissed viral rumours suggesting a spiritual attack.
“The last time he had a seizure was in February. It is purely a medical issue,” she stressed.
