Arteta Rallies Arsenal: "We’re Capable of Something Special in Paris"

Arteta Rallies Arsenal: "We’re Capable of Something Special in Paris"

Despite a narrow 1-0 defeat at the Emirates, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta remains confident that his side can flip the script in Paris and book their place in the UEFA Champions League final.

The Gunners were stunned early in the first leg of their semi-final clash when Ousmane Dembélé struck inside four minutes for PSG. Though Arsenal fought back with intensity, they were denied an equalizer after Mikel Merino’s second-half strike was ruled out for offside. In the dying moments, PSG nearly doubled their lead as Gonçalo Ramos rattled the crossbar.

But Arteta is far from discouraged.

“We have to go to Paris and win the game, and we are more than capable of doing it,” the Spaniard declared. “If you want to win the Champions League final, you have to do something special, and we are going to have to do something special in Paris to be there.”

With tactical tweaks expected and the stakes higher than ever, Arteta is rallying his side not just to perform—but to make history.

“We will surely make some adjustments, and depending on the context of the game, we will make more adjustments,” he added.

Our Take:
This is the exact kind of mindset Arsenal fans love to see from their manager — one of belief, resilience, and ambition. Arteta knows the task ahead is monumental, but so is the opportunity. After two decades without a Champions League final appearance, the Gunners are 90 minutes away from rewriting their legacy. All that stands in their way? A night in Paris, and the chance to do something special.
