Jack Wilshere Backs Inter Milan to Triumph Over PSG in UCL Final #UCLFinal2025

Jack Wilshere Backs Inter Milan to Triumph Over PSG in UCL Final #UCLFinal2025

Former Arsenal and England midfielder Jack Wilshere has weighed in on the much-anticipated UEFA Champions League final between Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, tipping the Italian giants to lift the trophy in Munich on May 31.

Inter Milan booked their place in the final after a dramatic 7-6 aggregate victory over Barcelona, a clash that saw the Nerazzurri prove their resilience and attacking edge. Meanwhile, PSG edged out Arsenal 3-1 over two legs, despite the Gunners having strong spells during both encounters.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Wilshere didn’t hesitate to cast his vote. “I’m going Inter. I can’t see that team losing in the final,” he said, confidently backing Simone Inzaghi’s men to claim European glory.

Inter Milan are no strangers to Champions League success, having lifted the trophy three times, their last triumph coming in 2010 under the legendary Jose Mourinho. PSG, however, are still chasing their first-ever UCL crown after falling short in 2020.

Reflecting on Arsenal’s exit, Wilshere defended his former side, saying: “We didn’t do that much wrong. We probably had the better of the game in most moments. PSG have quality to hurt you in transitions, so it is a hard one to take.”

He added an important insight many fans can resonate with: “You look at the history of clubs who do get to the final and a lot of them do fail beforehand.” It’s a reminder that success in Europe is often built on heartbreaks and hard lessons.

✍🏽 Opinion Corner: Why Inter Might Just Have the Edge

Inter Milan look like a team on a mission—clinical, cohesive, and carrying a rich heritage in European football. PSG may have the flair and superstar power, but Inter’s balanced squad, tactical discipline, and mental fortitude could be the deciding factors in Munich.

Yes, Kylian Mbappé and company are electric in attack, but Inter’s ability to absorb pressure and punish on the counter has been impressive. Don’t be surprised if the black and blue of Milan paints Munich on May 31.

One thing is certain: this final promises fire, finesse, and footballing drama.
