“Premier League Is the Dream” – Tolu Arokodare Eyes England Move After Stunning Belgian Season
Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has revealed his desire to play in the English Premier League, calling it a dream he hopes to fulfill “for sure” in the near future.
The 24-year-old Nigerian forward, who bagged 21 goals in 38 appearances for Belgian side KRC Genk last season, has seen his stock skyrocket after being crowned the top scorer and Best African Player in the Belgian Pro League.
“Obviously, it’s a dream to play in the Premier League,” Arokodare told Sports Boom. “But I have my eyes on it for sure.”
👀 Transfer Buzz: United, Bayern & Dortmund Watching
Arokodare’s impressive form has reportedly drawn interest from Manchester United, who are in search of additional firepower. But the Red Devils are not alone. German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be monitoring his situation, creating what could become a three-way transfer tussle.
🇳🇬 Opinion: Nigeria’s New Striking Force?
In a Super Eagles squad currently blessed with goal scorers like Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Victor Boniface, Arokodare’s name is rapidly forcing itself into serious consideration. His height, physicality, and poacher’s instinct give off vibes reminiscent of an in-form Emmanuel Emenike.
Nigeria should not sleep on a striker who just conquered Belgium and is now commanding attention from Europe’s elite clubs. With more consistency, Arokodare could be the perfect Plan B — or even Plan A — for Nigeria’s attack at the next AFCON or World Cup.
🔍 What’s Next?
Genk will be keen to hold on to their talisman, but Arokodare’s ambitions are clear. The Premier League dream is alive, and if Manchester United makes a concrete move, it could be a life-changing leap for the young Nigerian.
At just 24, with his confidence high and boots blazing, the sky may be the only limit.
