Rising Star Ibraheem Ajaa Joins FC Rostov on Five-Year Deal
Nigerian teenager Ibraheem Ajaa has officially completed a permanent move to Russian Premier League side FC Rostov, signing a five-year contract, according to TalkTalk Nigeria.
The 19-year-old joins the “Tough Guys” from Modern Sport of Egypt, where he made waves last season with standout performances that caught the attention of European scouts.
🔜 Debut Incoming vs Zenit
Ajaa is expected to make his debut this Sunday in a high-stakes clash against Zenit St. Petersburg, a baptism of fire for the youngster, who now enters the Russian top flight with eyes firmly on him.
FC Rostov, managed by Jonatan Alba, finished 8th in the Russian Premier League last season and are keen to push higher — and Ajaa could be the injection of energy they need.
🧠 Opinion: Nigeria’s Production Line Keeps Delivering
At just 19, Ibraheem Ajaa represents yet another gem from Nigeria’s never-ending conveyor belt of talent. His move to Europe is a major step forward, and FC Rostov may prove the perfect platform to hone his skills before even bigger opportunities arise.
It’s exciting to see clubs in non-traditional European leagues betting on African youth — a sign that the global football market is evolving fast.
