“We Are All Nothing” – VeryDarkMan Blasts Lawyer Deji Adeyanju Over Cautionary Advice
Popular Nigerian social media activist and content creator, VeryDarkMan (VDM), has slammed his lawyer and ally, Deji Adeyanju, for warning him against taking “unnecessary risks” in his fight for social justice and online activism.
🗣️ The Controversial Tweet
Adeyanju had posted on X (formerly Twitter), expressing concern over VDM’s outspoken style, saying:
“If anything happens to you today, everyone has moved on by tomorrow. We only overrate ourselves, Nigerians don’t rate anybody.”
😤 VDM’s Fierce Response
In a strongly worded video response, VeryDarkMan said he was “deeply disappointed” by the post, especially coming from someone he considers a fellow comrade in activism. He didn’t hold back, calling the statement:
“Coward talk — a phrase politicians use to scare people into silence.”
He argued that the fear of being forgotten shouldn’t stop anyone from fighting for truth and justice, reminding everyone:
“Even Jesus died and the world moved on. So what? Should we now live in fear?”
💭 Opinion: Brutally Honest or Recklessly Bold?
VDM’s response is both raw and real — it taps into the core of Nigeria’s activist struggle: the balance between fearless truth-telling and self-preservation.
While Adeyanju’s concerns seem rooted in genuine care, VDM’s outburst reflects a generation of youth no longer willing to play it safe in a system they see as broken.
Whether you agree with his tone or not, his message resonates:
"If silence is safety, then what is the cost of speaking truth?"
📣 What’s your take on VDM’s reply to Adeyanju?
Should activists take more caution, or does Nigeria need more fearless voices like his?
