“Bury That Boy or Use Juju” – Comedian Koboko Blasts Mohbad’s Father Over Delayed Burial

“Bury That Boy or Use Juju” – Comedian Koboko Blasts Mohbad’s Father Over Delayed Burial

Nigerian comedian Koboko has stirred strong reactions online after publicly calling out Mr. Aloba, the father of late singer Mohbad, over the prolonged delay in his son’s burial.

In a video shared via his Instagram page, Koboko expressed deep frustration at the fact that Mohbad’s body has remained in the morgue for nearly two years — a reality that continues to upset fans, friends, and members of the entertainment industry.

🎤 “Lay Him to Rest”

Koboko directly addressed Mohbad’s family, especially his father, saying:

“To Mohbad’s father — bury that boy or use juju to get your justice.”

He stressed that if the ongoing legal investigations haven’t yielded results and the family truly wants justice, then they might need to consider traditional spiritual means, hinting at how long the process has dragged on without closure.

⚖️ Justice, but at What Cost?

The tragic passing of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, in September 2023, was followed by a storm of controversy, arrests, protests, and a national call for justice. Yet, nearly two years later, his remains are still unburied, with legal back-and-forths still unresolved.

Fans and observers are growing tired of the lack of closure, and Koboko’s viral comments echo a sentiment many have quietly held: How long is too long to wait for burial — even in the name of justice?

🗣️ Opinion: Let the Boy Rest

While seeking justice is noble and necessary, it’s hard to ignore that Mohbad’s dignity in death is also important. Keeping his body in a morgue this long is painful to witness — and unfair to the legacy of a young talent whose music touched many.

Koboko’s message, though blunt, reflects a growing public impatience and a call for cultural and spiritual balance in the handling of Mohbad’s tragic story.
