Manchester United Agree Loan Deal with Trabzonspor for Onana – But Will He Take the Leap?

Manchester United have reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Turkish giants Trabzonspor over a loan move for goalkeeper André Onana. The deal, revealed by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, now hinges entirely on the decision of the Cameroonian shot-stopper.

Onana, who has endured a difficult spell at Old Trafford since his big-money arrival from Inter Milan, has seen game time dry up this season. His only appearance came in the Carabao Cup second-round exit against Grimsby Town, with manager Ruben Amorim preferring Altay Bayindir as his Premier League starter.

Adding to the competition, United bolstered their goalkeeping department in the summer by signing Senne Lammens from Royal Antwerp in an £18 million deal. This has left Onana facing an uncertain future at the club despite being brought in as David de Gea’s long-term replacement just a year ago.
