Comedian Sabinus Opens Up About Heartbreak, Warns Fans Not to Judge Peller

Comedian Sabinus Opens Up About Heartbreak, Warns Fans Not to Judge Peller

Nigerian comedian Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Ejekwu, popularly known as Sabinus, has shared his personal experience with heartbreak while offering words of empathy for TikTok star Peller.

Speaking during a recent livestream with content creator Sandra Benede, Sabinus described love as “cruel,” revealing how his own lavish gestures of affection once ended in disappointment.

“I once gifted a girl a Range Rover because of love. She later left me. I regretted it,” he said. Sabinus empathized with Peller, who recently endured a public breakup with his girlfriend, Jarvis, and even survived a car accident amid the emotional turmoil.

“Jarvis has finished Peller. I have been in Peller’s situation before. Love is cruel. So nobody should blame Peller,” Sabinus advised, urging Nigerians to be compassionate rather than judgmental.

This candid admission comes after Sabinus himself confirmed the end of his marriage to Ciana Chapman, the mother of his child, in December 2025. The couple had tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2023, but their union lasted just over a year.

Opinion: Heartbreak as a Shared Human Experience

Sabinus’ reflections remind us that love, while beautiful, can sometimes leave scars regardless of intentions or effort. In a social media age where personal pain often becomes public spectacle, his call for empathy is particularly timely.

His words also humanize influencers like Peller, showing that heartbreak affects everyone, regardless of fame or fortune. Rather than criticizing those navigating emotional challenges in the public eye, audiences can benefit more from offering support and understanding.

After all, heartbreak is universal—and sometimes, the greatest strength lies in enduring it gracefully.
