Uzor Arukwe Denies Pregnancy Rumours Involving Bambam, Warns Perpetrators of Consequences
Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has addressed and strongly denied recent social media claims that he impregnated his colleague Bamike Olawunmi, popularly known as Bambam, and allegedly disrupted her marriage to Teddy A.
The controversy emerged online following the release of the 2025 YouTube film Love In Every Word, which featured both actors and quickly went viral. A post circulating on 𝕏 falsely claimed that Bambam’s husband had divorced her after discovering she was allegedly pregnant for Arukwe, citing supposed leaked private chats.
In a statement responding to the claims, Arukwe warned that those spreading the rumours would face consequences. He revealed that a specific account responsible for propagating the false information had been identified. Arukwe, visibly angered by the allegations, emphasized his decision not to quote the account publicly, stating, “I refuse to give such accounts the engagement they seek at the risk of jail time.”
He further warned, “Believe me when I say this: that individual will be made a scapegoat so others learn to respect boundaries and refrain from chasing clout and Elon Musk money at the expense of damaging someone else’s reputation.”
From an opinion perspective, Arukwe’s response underscores the challenges celebrities face in the age of social media, where misinformation can spread rapidly and threaten personal and professional reputations. His measured but firm stance — refusing to amplify the falsehood while warning of consequences — reflects a growing need for accountability in online discourse.
It also highlights an important lesson about digital ethics: celebrities are human, and their professional collaborations should not be twisted into scandalous narratives for clicks or attention. In this case, Arukwe’s approach demonstrates both restraint and assertiveness, reminding fans and followers that spreading unverified claims can have serious consequences, and that respecting boundaries is not just courteous but necessary in today’s interconnected world.
For Nollywood and its fans, the incident is a cautionary tale about rumor culture, and a reminder that transparency, honesty, and responsible engagement remain crucial in protecting reputations.
