Osimhen Explains Why He Returned Captain’s Armband to İlkay Gündoğan
Victor Osimhen has revealed why he declined the opportunity to wear the captain’s armband during Galatasaray’s 3-1 victory over Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday.
Osimhen was instrumental in the win, scoring a goal and providing an assist as Galatasaray stretched their lead at the top of the table to five points.
Midfielder Lucas Torreira initially led the team onto the pitch wearing the armband. After being substituted in the second half, Torreira handed the captaincy to Ilkay Gundogan.
