Andrés Iniesta is set to begin a new chapter in football after reportedly agreeing to take his first managerial role with Gulf United FC.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the former FC Barcelona midfielder has reached an agreement with the Dubai-based side, with official signatures expected to follow soon.

Gulf United currently compete in the UAE First Division and have experienced a rapid rise since their establishment in 2019, securing consecutive promotions in 2022 and 2023.

However, the club endured a difficult campaign this season, sitting 10th in a 15-team league table after collecting just 25 points from 26 matches.

Iniesta now faces the challenge of rebuilding the team and improving results as he officially steps into management for the first time.
