“You Will Not Have Peace Until DNA Test Is Done” — Hellen Atti Reacts To Cubana Chief Priest’s Hospitalisation

“You Will Not Have Peace Until DNA Test Is Done” — Hellen Atti Reacts To Cubana Chief Priest’s Hospitalisation

Kenyan businesswoman Hellen Atti has reacted to the hospitalisation of celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest, warning him to resolve their long-running paternity dispute.

Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, had earlier shared videos from a hospital where he was receiving treatment. The socialite expressed gratitude to God for life and reflected on the importance of good health.

“Nothing wey I never promise God today. Who dey healthy who no really knows wetin God do for am,” he wrote while receiving treatment.

He later shared a video of his wife beside him in the hospital, reaffirming their marital commitment with the caption: “In sickness and in health. Till death do us apart.”

However, Hellen Atti reacted differently, linking his health situation to the unresolved controversy surrounding her claim that he is the father of her child. In a video shared online, she stated that he should “repent” and do what she believes is right.

Hellen claimed that his illness was a reminder that wealth cannot solve every problem and insisted that peace would only come after a DNA test is conducted.

“You think that you’re rich, so why do you get sick? You think that your money will buy your life or sickness; it cannot,” she said.

She further warned that she would continue seeking answers over the paternity issue, insisting that the DNA test must happen.

The dispute between both parties has continued for years. Hellen previously accused the socialite of abandoning their alleged child, while Cubana Chief Priest has repeatedly denied being the father.

Earlier, the socialite had publicly challenged Hellen to bring herself and the child for a DNA test, even suggesting that the process could be done publicly. Hellen responded by asking him to sponsor her trip to Nigeria or arrange her flight so the test could be carried out.

Opinion:
The situation between Hellen Atti and Cubana Chief Priest shows how personal disputes involving public figures can quickly become national conversations. Beyond the social media exchanges, the biggest issue remains the child at the centre of the controversy. A transparent DNA test, if both parties agree, appears to be the clearest way to end years of accusations and uncertainty.

Public attention may come and go, but unresolved family matters often require more than online statements — they require accountability and a solution that protects everyone involved, especially the child.
