“He Has Wronged Me” – Brymo Vows Burna Boy ‘Must Pay’ Over Long-Running Feud
News Story:
Nigerian singer Brymo has reignited his long-running feud with fellow music star Burna Boy, declaring that the Grammy-winning artiste must face consequences for what he describes as a personal insult.
Speaking during a recent appearance on the NotJustOk Podcast, Brymo revisited their public fallout, insisting that Burna Boy crossed the line by mocking him in a freestyle that went viral.
The disagreement dates back to 2023 after Brymo alleged that Burna Boy had borrowed ideas from his work. Burna Boy later responded with a freestyle containing the lyric, “Hustle make you no go fall off like Brymo,” a line that quickly gained traction online and fueled tensions between the two musicians.
Addressing the issue, Brymo made it clear that he remains offended and has no intention of reconciling.
“Your name no go ever appears for my song for life. You’re too small, who is your mate? I don’t care what fraternity you belong to. He has wronged me and I must take revenge.”
Although Brymo did not explain what form his “revenge” would take, his comments have reignited discussions among fans about one of the Nigerian music industry's most talked-about rivalries.
The exchange adds another chapter to the strained relationship between the two artistes, whose contrasting personalities and musical styles have often sparked debate among supporters on social media.
Neither Burna Boy nor his management has publicly responded to Brymo’s latest remarks.
Opinion:
Healthy competition has always been part of the music industry, but prolonged personal feuds rarely benefit the artistes involved. While disagreements over creativity and recognition are understandable, they are often better settled through dialogue or by allowing the music to speak for itself. For fans, memorable songs and artistic growth leave a stronger legacy than public exchanges that keep old disputes alive.
