Kiekie Explains Why She Rejects Collaborations With Vulgar Content Creators
Nigerian content creator and media personality Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, popularly known as Kiekie, has revealed why she chooses not to collaborate with certain skit makers in the entertainment industry.
Speaking during a recent podcast interview, Kiekie said she deliberately avoids working with creators whose content she considers excessively vulgar or indecent, stressing that such collaborations do not align with the image she has built over the years.
According to her, the decision is purely about protecting her brand rather than judging the work of others.
"I would never collaborate with any skit maker that is too vulgar. I will not be able to collaborate with them," she said.
When asked to mention a specific creator, Kiekie declined to name anyone but explained the type of content she was referring to.
"I don't have a name of one but I have seen quite a number of them. So if you're too much breasts, bumbum, not that I have a problem with it but it's just brand alignment."
She further clarified that refusing to collaborate should not be interpreted as disrespect toward fellow creators.
"My inability to collaborate with you doesn't mean that I look down on what you do or I don't respect what you do or I don't see your hard work. I recognize your hard work but we just don't align. It will affect the way my own brands are approaching my own work."
Kiekie's comments highlight the importance many digital creators place on maintaining a consistent personal brand, particularly when working with corporate partners and advertisers.
