Salah’s Agent Dismisses Besiktas Transfer Reports Amid Growing Speculation

Salah’s Agent Dismisses Besiktas Transfer Reports Amid Growing Speculation

Mohamed Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, has cast serious doubt on reports linking the Egyptian superstar with a move to Turkish giants Besiktas, insisting that no decision has been made regarding the forward's next club.

Speculation had intensified after claims emerged that Salah had already agreed personal terms with the Istanbul-based side following his departure from Liverpool at the end of last season.

However, Abbas Issa swiftly responded to the rumours on social media, making it clear that the reports are inaccurate.

"I personally do not know where Mohamed will play next season. What does that tell you?" he wrote on X.

The agent also stressed that Salah's camp does not engage in transfer talks merely to generate publicity.

"It is not our style to have discussions with clubs that Mohamed wouldn't want to play for, just for the sake of noise."

His comments appear to directly contradict widespread reports suggesting that a move to Besiktas was already close to completion.

Salah is currently a free agent after ending a hugely successful spell at Liverpool, where he established himself as one of the club's greatest-ever players. He also represented Egypt at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup before the Pharaohs were eliminated by Argentina in the knockout stage.

With several clubs across Europe, the Middle East and beyond reportedly monitoring his situation, the race for Salah's signature remains wide open.

Opinion

Ramy Abbas Issa's statement sends a clear message: until Salah or his representatives confirm a destination, every transfer report should be treated with caution. High-profile players often become the subject of intense speculation, but the Egyptian's camp has consistently maintained a discreet approach to negotiations.

For now, Salah's future remains one of football's biggest unanswered questions. Wherever he eventually lands, it is likely to be a carefully considered decision based on sporting ambition rather than media hype.
