“She Has Two Master’s Degrees”: Leo Dasilva Fiercely Defends Wife Maryam After Social Media Troll’s Attack
Reality TV star Leo Dasilva has fired back at online critics after a troll attempted to belittle his wife, Maryam Laushi Dasilva, on X (formerly Twitter).
The drama began when an X user, @neyenwa38, launched a series of disrespectful remarks at Maryam, insinuating that she was only “relevant because of her husband.”
Maryam initially brushed off the insults, but later responded with class and humour.
She wrote:
“I will sell kunu if it’s profitable 😂 my money is long, don’t worry yourself. My husband is at least notable, where is your relevant husband? Let’s leave my father’s properties before you curse yourself 😂 Like I said, childish secondary school nonsense on display. Goodnight.”
However, Leo—clearly fed up with the attacks—stepped in with a strong defence of his wife, revealing that she holds two Master’s degrees and has built a solid career long before their marriage.
“You’re actually dangerously insane trying to belittle my wife. She has 2 masters degree! She will be employed till she chooses not to be! She always had her own voice even before she got married to me! She was already working when I met her. She is more than enough for me.”
He added that Maryam’s professional achievements even surpass his own online footprint:
“My Google results are not as impressive as my wife’s own. She has put in a lot of work in the civil space, corporate space and family space. Na all rounder. I am always proud of her and her work. We are grateful to God for his blessings. If you are jealous, Ogun go k!ll you.”
Opinion: A Lesson on Respect—and the Reality Behind Online Troll Culture
This entire episode highlights a deeply familiar pattern on social media:
the ease with which people, often faceless and nameless, try to tear down women simply for existing confidently.
Maryam’s response was classy, witty, and self-assured—proof that grace can coexist with strength. Leo’s defence, on the other hand, was the kind of firm support many women rarely get publicly from their partners.
But beyond the drama is a bigger message:
A woman’s worth is not defined by her husband, her marital status, or anyone else.
Maryam is educated, accomplished, and influential in her own right—yet a troll still tried to reduce her to a “plus-one.” This reveals more about the insecurity of the attacker than the target.
In a digital age where insults fly freely, it's refreshing to see both spouses defending dignity, intelligence, and hard-earned identity. And maybe trolls need to learn one thing:
Not every woman online is idle. Some of them have CVs that can humble a continent.
