Etinosa Idemudia Blasts Men Who Forcefully Bring Back Their Wives After Disputes
“Marriage should not be by force,” she says amid Regina Daniels’ marital saga
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Etinosa Idemudia has criticized men who forcefully compel their wives to return home after marital disagreements, describing such acts as both foolish and oppressive.
The actress shared her thoughts in a passionate post on Instagram, reacting to the ongoing controversy surrounding actress Regina Daniels and her estranged husband, Ned Nwoko.
Etinosa wrote:
“Some men are very foolish! After using oppression to forcefully bring your wife back to the house, will you be comfortable sleeping in that house and eating that same woman’s food?
Marriage should not be by force. ‘No’ means ‘No,’ and that should apply to other things being r*pe!”
She also wondered how such men manage to live peacefully under the same roof after coercing their partners into submission.
Opinion: Love Should Never Be Compulsory
Etinosa’s outburst may be blunt, but it exposes a painful truth about gender power dynamics in many marriages. Too often, women are pressured — emotionally, socially, or even physically — to remain in unions that have lost peace, love, and mutual respect.
Her statement raises an important conversation about consent within marriage — not just sexual consent, but the right to choose peace, space, or even separation when a relationship becomes toxic.
Love, by its very nature, thrives on freedom, not force.
A marriage built on control and intimidation isn’t a union — it’s captivity dressed in cultural normalcy.
Etinosa’s boldness might stir controversy, but perhaps that’s exactly what society needs — a reminder that no one should be compelled to “stay” when staying breaks their spirit.
