Zion Idibia, 2Baba’s Son, Matriculates at Pan-Atlantic University
Zion Idibia, the second son of Nigerian music icon Innocent “2Baba” Idibia, has officially been matriculated at Pan-Atlantic University, marking the start of his academic journey in finance.
The news was shared on Saturday by his mother, Sumbo Adeoye, on her Instagram page. She congratulated Zion on the milestone, writing, “Today, my second son begins his journey in finance… Admitted, you earned it, son. Congratulations on your matriculation. Greater works ahead in Jesus’ name.”
Zion is one of two children Adeoye shares with 2Baba, the other being Nino. The singer’s relationship with Adeoye ended around 2009, before his later marriage to Annie Macaulay and current wife, Natasha Osawaru.
Opinion: A Proud Moment Beyond the Spotlight
While 2Baba has long been celebrated for his music and influence in the entertainment industry, Zion’s matriculation is a reminder that achievements beyond the spotlight are equally worthy of celebration. This milestone shows a focus on education and personal growth, and it’s heartwarming to see Adeoye’s pride and encouragement as her son embarks on this new chapter.
In a society where celebrity children are often defined by fame alone, Zion’s pursuit of a degree in finance signals a positive example—showing that dedication, hard work, and academic ambition can stand alongside family legacies in creating a meaningful path forward.
