Lyta Opens Up on Painful Struggles, Calls Out Trolls and Thanks His Family

Afrobeats singer Babatunde Rahimlisten, popularly known as Lyta, has spoken openly about the personal hardships he has faced, while addressing the constant criticism and bullying he receives on social media.

In a viral video making the rounds online, the singer did not hold back as he responded to trolls who mock his journey and current situation. Lyta described his past experiences as deeply painful and overwhelming, stressing that many of those laughing at him would not have survived the same struggles.

According to him, the challenges he went through were so intense that they could have easily broken anyone else.

“I don’t wish what I went through on anybody. You wouldn’t be able to handle it.
If you experienced what I did, you’d have given up,” he said.

Despite the pain, Lyta expressed heartfelt gratitude to his family, giving special praise to his parents and siblings for standing by him when things were at their worst.

“That’s why you’re bullying. Big shoutout to my parents and siblings for not giving up on me,” he added.

Opinion: Lyta’s Words Are a Reminder That Not All Battles Are Visible

Lyta’s emotional message is more than just a response to online trolls—it is a raw reminder that fame does not equal happiness or stability. In an era where social media often reduces people to jokes and memes, it is easy to forget that artists are human beings with real pain behind the screens.

Bullying someone because they are struggling says more about the bully than the victim. Lyta’s honesty exposes a harsh truth: many people only celebrate success but disappear when the struggle shows.

His gratitude toward his family is also a powerful takeaway. When public applause fades, it is often family that becomes the last line of strength. Lyta may still be finding his footing, but his resilience and openness suggest a man who has refused to be completely broken.

Sometimes, survival itself is a victory—and Lyta’s story is proof that staying alive, sane, and hopeful is no small achievement.
