Kunle Remi Raises Alarm Over Nigeria’s Security Challenges, Questions Silence Over Kidnapped School Children
Nollywood actor Kunle Remi has expressed concern over the state of the nation, criticizing the security situation in Nigeria and calling attention to ongoing challenges faced by citizens.
The actor shared his thoughts on his Instagram story, comparing the struggles faced by different countries and describing Nigeria’s challenges as being linked to governance and security issues.
“Other parts of the world have natural disasters. Nigeria has a government disaster,” he wrote.
Kunle also highlighted the reported abduction of Oyo school children and their teachers, noting that families have continued to suffer while waiting for their loved ones to return.
“40 Days and families are still torn apart. Children are still suffering simply because they were born in Nigeria,” he wrote.
“Teachers are still in captivity instead of in their classrooms. Families remain in fear, grief, and dismay.”
The actor questioned why security challenges continue despite the presence of agencies responsible for protecting citizens.
The post comes after Kunle previously criticized the country’s political climate, expressing concern that election preparations and social media activities continue despite serious national issues.
He has also shared messages directed at President Bola Tinubu, expressing hope that leadership would understand the struggles of ordinary Nigerians.
Opinion: Kunle Remi’s comments reflect the frustration many Nigerians express over insecurity and social challenges. Public figures often use their platforms to draw attention to issues affecting citizens, but lasting change depends on effective policies, accountability and practical solutions from those responsible for governance and security.
