Adegbodu Twins’ Kehinde Breaks Silence on Weight Loss, Assures Fans He Is Healthy
Kehinde Adegbodu, the surviving member of the gospel music duo Adegbodu Twins, has addressed concerns surrounding his recent physical appearance and weight loss.
The singer’s noticeable change in appearance sparked reactions from fans, with many expressing concern and calling on his close associates and religious leaders to check on him.
However, Kehinde has clarified that his weight loss is intentional and linked to health advice from medical professionals. He explained that he started a diet after doctors advised him to reduce his protruding tummy following the death of his twin brother, Taiwo Adegbodu.
“I have been seeing different comments. Someone said I slimmed down. Yes, I slimmed down for the benefit of my well-being,” he said.
Kehinde revealed that several health professionals reached out to him after Taiwo’s death and encouraged him to take better care of his health.
“Many of them expressed regret for not advising us earlier before Taiwo’s death. That’s why I slimmed down. I have been on a diet. There’s nothing wrong with me; I’m not sick,” he added.
He also thanked those who genuinely showed concern while asking fans to continue praying for him.
The comments come after the death of his twin brother, Taiwo Adegbodu, who reportedly died from a heart attack on February 28, 2026, after visiting a hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State, following complaints of chest pain.
Opinion: Kehinde’s explanation highlights the importance of taking health warnings seriously and making lifestyle changes when necessary. His decision to focus on his well-being after a personal loss serves as a reminder that changes in appearance do not always mean illness, but can sometimes reflect efforts toward better health.
