Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about the financial demands of life in the spotlight, revealing that he spends between $200,000 and $300,000 every month to maintain his lifestyle.

The award-winning singer made the revelation during a recent livestream with streamer Davrel, explaining that the enormous monthly expenses cover only his personal commitments and do not include the costs associated with his wife, Chioma Adeleke, or the rest of his household.

"I spend between $200,000 and $300,000 every month and that doesn't even include my wife's expenses or the rest of my household," Davido said.

The music star further clarified that the figure excludes major luxury purchases such as expensive cars and jewellery, suggesting that his actual spending can be significantly higher.

"It also doesn't include expenses for the purchase of luxury cars and jewellery."

Davido is widely regarded as one of Africa's biggest music exports, with a successful career spanning more than a decade. His global tours, endorsement deals, sold-out concerts and business ventures have helped establish him among the continent's highest-earning entertainers.
