Mo Bimpe Threatens Legal Action Over Viral Paternity Fraud Rumour Involving Her Triplets
Nollywood actress Adebimpe Oyebade, popularly known as Mo Bimpe, has strongly condemned a viral social media report alleging paternity fraud involving one of her newborn triplets, warning that she is prepared to pursue legal action against those responsible.
The controversy began after an X user, identified as @iam_Mardiyyah, shared a post claiming that actor Lateef Adedimeji had filed for divorce after an alleged DNA test revealed he was not the biological father of the couple's triplets.
The post also falsely alleged that the matter arose after a hospital reportedly rejected Lateef's blood donation because of an alleged blood group mismatch.
Reacting via her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Mo Bimpe dismissed the claims as completely false and expressed outrage over what she described as an attack on her family, particularly her children.
The actress warned that years of remaining silent in the face of online trolling should not be mistaken for weakness, stressing that involving her children crossed a line.
She wrote:
"I don't want to hear justice for whatever your stupid name is by the time I am ready for you! You silly trolls have constantly trolled me on these platforms for years & I've been quiet, but what I wouldn't take is you bringing your stupidity to my children!!! Be warned! I won't hesitate to take the right action if need be."
She also criticised the use of manipulated images and fabricated stories to spread misinformation.
"It's the nerve to post fake/AI pictures together with fabricated lies for me! Such effrontery!"
The actress's response has drawn support from many fans and colleagues, who condemned the spread of unverified and defamatory claims involving her family.
Neither Mo Bimpe nor Lateef Adedimeji has indicated that there is any truth to the allegations, and the actress has made it clear that legal consequences may follow for those responsible for circulating the rumour.
