Katsina United Eye Return of Goalkeeper Alladoum Kolimba Amid Enyimba Interest

Katsina United Eye Return of Goalkeeper Alladoum Kolimba Amid Enyimba Interest

Alladoum Kolimba is attracting transfer interest from Katsina United ahead of the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

The experienced Central African Republic goalkeeper became a free agent after leaving Remo Stars at the expiration of his contract at the end of last season.

Kolimba is no stranger to Katsina United, having enjoyed a successful spell with the Chanji Boys in 2023. During his time at the club, the veteran shot-stopper kept 16 clean sheets in 36 appearances and earned several Man of the Match awards with a string of impressive performances.

Reports indicate that Katsina United are eager to strengthen their goalkeeping department as preparations intensify for the new NPFL campaign.

However, the club could face stiff competition for Kolimba's signature, with nine-time Nigerian champions Enyimba also monitoring the experienced goalkeeper.

Kolimba's wealth of experience in the NPFL and proven consistency make him one of the notable free-agent goalkeepers available this transfer window.

Opinion

For Katsina United, bringing Kolimba back would be a logical move rather than a sentimental one. His previous success at the club means he already understands the environment and has demonstrated he can consistently deliver at NPFL level. Enyimba's reported interest also underlines his quality. If both clubs make formal offers, the decision may come down to which project offers the goalkeeper greater playing time, stability and a realistic opportunity to compete for honours next season.
