Adewale Ayuba Denies Divorce Rumour, Slams Paternity Allegations as Malicious

Adewale Ayuba Denies Divorce Rumour, Slams Paternity Allegations as Malicious

Veteran Fuji musician, Adewale Ayuba, has dismissed viral claims that he divorced his wife, Azuka Ego, over alleged paternity issues.

The rumours were triggered by a report from a YouTube channel, Nigerian News, which claimed Ayuba had discovered his wife’s infidelity through a secret DNA test, leading to the end of their marriage.

In a swift reaction, Ayuba described the claims as “baseless and malicious.” Through a statement released by Bonsue Fuji Entertainment, the singer emphasized that he remains happily married to Azuka, with whom he has shared over three decades of family life.

“We want to state this clearly to everyone who supports Dr Adewale Ayuba, that there is absolutely no truth—not a single iota—in this cooked up story,” the statement read.
“For the record, they have been happily married for over thirty years. This is nothing more than a cheap, despicable attempt to embarrass Dr Ayuba’s family, malign his character, and bring his united family to public ridicule.”

Ayuba also confirmed that his children’s paternity has never been in question and vowed to take legal action against the blogger behind the rumour.

“I will not allow my integrity to be attacked without consequences,” he warned, adding that his lawyers had been consulted to pursue remedies.

Opinion:
The Ayuba saga is yet another reminder of the dangers posed by unverified content in today’s digital space. Social media and online platforms have given everyone a microphone, but not everyone uses it responsibly. For a public figure with decades of legacy, one false headline can snowball into an attack on character, career, and family.

On the flip side, Ayuba’s firm response is commendable. In an age where silence can be misinterpreted as consent, calling out falsehood and seeking legal redress sends a strong message: reputations should not be cheapened for clicks and views.

It also opens up a broader conversation for fans and the public — about the need to consume media with discernment. Not every story online is gospel truth, and blind belief in unverified sources fuels the very cycle of misinformation that destroys lives.

For Ayuba, 30 years of marriage and an unblemished career stand in contrast to the claims made against him. His stance is not just about clearing his name but also about protecting the integrity of family, which, as he has shown, remains one of his greatest treasures.
