CAF Confirms November 19 for 2025 Awards Ceremony in Morocco — A Night Set to Celebrate African Football’s Finest 🌍⚽
The 2025 CAF Awards ceremony is officially set to take place in Rabat, Morocco, on Wednesday, November 19, with the red carpet rolling out at 7:00 pm.
The prestigious event, organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), will once again bring together the best of the continent’s football talents — players, coaches, and administrators — in a night of glamour and recognition.
Among this year’s nominees are several Nigerian stars who have made their mark both locally and internationally. Victor Osimhen, Stanley Nwabali, Rasheedat Ajibade, Esther Okoronkwo, and Chiamaka Nnadozie are all in contention for top honours, promising strong representation for Nigeria on the continental stage.
CAF President Patrice Motsepe, alongside top football dignitaries from across Africa and beyond, will attend the ceremony.
Last year, Ademola Lookman became the first Nigerian in recent times to clinch the Men’s Player of the Year award after his outstanding form in both club and national team duties. Zambia’s Barbra Banda walked away with the Women’s Player of the Year crown.
💭 Opinion: The CAF Awards — More Than Trophies, It’s Africa’s Celebration of Its Own Greatness
The CAF Awards are not just about medals and speeches — they are a celebration of the African football story. A story of talent, grit, and triumph in the face of adversity.
For Nigeria, this year’s nominations are more than a badge of honour. They reflect the depth and diversity of talent the country continues to produce — from Osimhen’s goal-scoring brilliance to Nnadozie’s commanding goalkeeping presence, and Ajibade’s leadership on and off the pitch.
Beyond the personal accolades, the event reminds the world that African football has come of age. It has evolved from being seen as “potential” to being a powerhouse of global influence — with its stars dominating leagues in Europe, Asia, and America.
As the spotlight shines on Rabat this November, fans across the continent will not just be watching — they’ll be celebrating Africa’s pride, power, and passion. And if history repeats itself, Nigeria might just have another golden night. 🇳🇬✨
