“Next-of-Kin Drama?” Obi Cubana Reacts to Viral TikTok by Adopted Son Chidi
Popular Nigerian socialite and entrepreneur Obinna Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana, has stirred up a storm online after responding to a TikTok video posted by his adopted son, Chidi, who playfully declared himself the billionaire's “next of kin.”
In the now-viral TikTok clip, Chidi boldly stated, “Nothing do my shoulder, I just realize say I be next of kin.” While it might have seemed like harmless Gen Z banter, social media didn’t take it lightly — and neither did Cubana, it seems.
Shortly after, Obi Cubana appeared to subtly clap back on Instagram, posting a picture of himself and his biological son, Alex, with the caption:

Alex, clearly in on the post, commented, “Using my headphones right now,” to which his dad replied, “Correct boy, original next-of-kin.”

While some fans found the moment light-hearted, others thought the businessman should’ve handled things more discreetly.
