Maria Farmer Accuses Trump of Lying About Epstein Ties, Recounts Chilling 1995 Encounter
In a powerful and emotional CNN interview aired on July 21, Maria Farmer — the first woman to report abuse by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell — has publicly accused former U.S. President Donald Trump of lying about his involvement with Epstein, claiming he was present during a deeply disturbing encounter in 1995.
🕰️ The Night That Haunts Her
Farmer, then a 25-year-old artist recruited by Epstein, said she was summoned to his Manhattan office for what she believed was work-related. But what she experienced instead left a lasting psychological scar.
“He [Trump] stood over me, smirking. It was threatening… like he was in on a secret,” she recalled.
Dressed casually in running shorts after rushing to the meeting, Farmer described feeling instantly uncomfortable when she noticed Trump — whom she didn’t expect to be there — staring at her “in a way that was demeaning and inappropriate.”
🗣️ “Oh, I Thought She Was 16.”
According to Farmer, the eerie moment ended when Epstein emerged and said to Trump:
“Oh no, she’s not here for you. Follow me.”
As Trump walked away, she claimed she overheard him mutter:
“Oh, I thought she was 16.”
🧾 “He’s Lying” — Farmer Refutes Trump’s Denials
Despite Trump's longstanding denials — including a recent statement to NBC News where he dismissed his Epstein ties as “old news” — Farmer remains adamant.
“He’s lying,” she told CNN. “It doesn’t matter what age I was — it was inappropriate, demeaning, and threatening.”
Farmer also blasted the White House’s support of Trump’s version of events, stating that the administration is “disrespecting the sacrifices victims like me made just to seek justice.”
🏛️ Legal Fight Against the U.S. Government
On May 29, 2025, Farmer filed a lawsuit against the U.S. government, accusing federal agencies of failing to act on early reports of Epstein’s abuse. She said she alerted authorities in 1996 and again in 2006 about Epstein, Maxwell — and Trump.
“The government has not held any of the people I’ve reported accountable,” she said. “I’ve given up my entire life to have this investigated.”
🔍 Opinion: Are the Powerful Above Accountability?
Maria Farmer’s voice is one of raw courage in a saga long stained by power, money, and silence. As someone who was first to report the abuses years before Epstein’s arrest, her words carry weight — and they shine a light on the invisible walls that victims often face in their fight for justice.
The question remains:
How many more voices like Maria’s must speak before the world listens?
