Doris Ogala Rejects Pastor Chris Okafor’s Apology, Demands Answers Over Brother’s Death
Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has publicly rejected the apology offered by Pastor Chris Okafor of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, insisting that his temporary step back from church duties is insufficient to address her grievances.
During a recent service, a video showed Pastor Okafor informing church members that other ministers would handle church activities throughout January, allowing him time for prayers, rest, and family. He noted that he and his wife had not taken a proper break since their wedding.
However, Ogala, who has been vocal about her concerns, emphasized that the pastor’s leave does not address the mysterious death of her younger brother. She warned that she intends to present evidence, including voice recordings, to substantiate her claims and called on Pastor Okafor to provide explanations regarding her brother’s passing.
In a video shared online, Ogala said:
"Stepping down from the altar is not enough. You have to explain to me what happened to my brother, the role you played, and how my brother was poisoned. I have all the evidence, and I am going to play everything… This is just the beginning. We have not started yet, Chris."
Opinion: Ogala’s stance underscores a broader issue in public accountability, particularly when grief intersects with allegations of wrongdoing. While Pastor Okafor’s temporary break may allow time for reflection, it is clear that an apology without transparency or answers cannot bring closure to the affected parties. In situations involving loss and unresolved questions, the demand for truth outweighs symbolic gestures. As the public watches closely, this case serves as a reminder that closure is earned through accountability, not absence.
