We are not fighting - Davido speaks up about his friendship with Wizkid.
Davido, a famous Afrobeat musician, has maintained that there was no quarrel between him and Wizkid.
Davido said this while explaining why he hung out with Wizkid before releasing his Timeless album in 2023.
Speaking in a now-trending interview on BBC radio, the singer stated that the hangout was intended to show fans that there was no friction between them and to ensure that his album was drama-free.
In an interview video shared on Instagram by bwetv.ng, Davido said how he contacted one of his main fans, expressing his desire to avoid any clashes involving Wizkid's supporters, known as FC.
"I contacted one of my fans, Tomiwa. The guy who seems to connect with everyone. I called him and said, "Look, my album comes out on Thursday." Please leave all of these Wizkid fans. Please do not fight anyone.
"I was with Wizkid a few days ago, and we didn't fight. Don't fight anyone because I want my record to come out clean, but Tomiwa started fighting, and my album leaked two days before its release. But these fans are fantastic as well; they have positive aspects."
