Liz DaSilva Grateful to God After Near-Miss During MRI Scan

Liz DaSilva Grateful to God After Near-Miss During MRI Scan

Nollywood actress, Liz DaSilva, has shared an emotional testimony on social media after narrowly avoiding what could have been a serious accident during a medical procedure.

The actress revealed that she almost entered an MRI machine with hidden metal pins in her wig — a dangerous oversight that could have caused harm, given that the imaging procedure relies on powerful magnets.

In a heartfelt video posted on Instagram on Tuesday, Liz recounted her experience, explaining that although she had removed her earrings, bra, waist beads, and chain before the scan, she suddenly remembered her wig contained pins just as she was about to be slid into the machine.

“I was almost ready to go in. But I remembered that there is pins in my hair… in my wig. So, I had to quickly remind the attendant,” she said, breaking down in tears as she reflected on how close she came to danger.

Expressing her gratitude, she declared in Yoruba: “Truly, God saved me, I can say it boldly, anywhere. If God had not protected me, who knows what would have happened.”

Opinion

Liz DaSilva’s story is more than just a personal scare — it’s a powerful reminder of two things: vigilance and faith. On one hand, it highlights the importance of being extra careful during medical procedures, especially when machines as powerful as MRIs are involved. Sometimes, the smallest details, like a forgotten pin, can make the biggest difference.

On the other hand, her emotional gratitude reminds us of the role faith plays in moments of uncertainty. For Liz, this was not just about avoiding an accident, but about acknowledging divine protection in her life.

In a fast-paced world where many take little blessings for granted, her testimony invites us to pause, reflect, and give thanks — not only when miracles happen, but even for the dangers we didn’t see coming.

Perhaps the lesson here is this: life’s fragility should make us more cautious, but it should also make us more grateful.
