NNL Reschedules Wikki Tourists vs Mighty Jets Clash Due to Federation Cup Commitments
The Nigeria National League (NNL) has officially rescheduled the Matchday 12 fixture between Wikki Tourists and Mighty Jets following Wikki Tourists’ involvement in the President Federation Cup quarter-final clash against Ikorodu City.
Originally slated for Sunday, 4 May 2025, the match will now be held on Wednesday, 7 May 2025, at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium.
According to a letter from Naomi N.B, the NNL Head of Competition, the change became necessary to accommodate Wikki Tourists’ Federation Cup fixture, which is set for Tuesday, 3 May at the Bwari Stadium in Abuja.
⚽ Opinion: A Tight Calendar Tests Squad Depth and Management
With domestic leagues and national tournaments running simultaneously, fixture congestion is becoming an unavoidable challenge. Wikki Tourists must now balance their ambition in the Federation Cup with their quest in the NNL, testing both the depth of their squad and the tactical prowess of their coaching team.
As fans anticipate a competitive clash between Wikki and Mighty Jets, one thing is clear: the business end of the season is here, and adaptability will define success.
