Veteran Nollywood actor Tito Harrison has shared the emotional and personal story of his battle with a liver condition and chronic ulcer, which left him bedridden, financially drained, and facing some of the toughest moments of his life.

In an open and heartfelt interview on Biola Bayo’s podcast, Harrison revealed the extent to which his illness impacted him, both physically and financially. The actor explained that he had to sell his house, cars, and nearly all of his belongings just to cover mounting medical expenses. Eventually, his situation forced him to move in with his mother-in-law, as he could no longer afford rent.

Despite these challenges, Harrison’s wife stood by him throughout the ordeal, providing unwavering support when others had walked away. He described her as his greatest blessing, saying, "When I was battling with liver disease and a chronic ulcer, my wife stood by me when everybody left me. It is good to have a good wife."

The actor also reflected on the sacrifices he had to make, noting, "I sold my house, car, and everything I had to pay hospital bills. After moving to a rented house, I couldn’t afford the rent again, so we had to stay at my mother-in-law’s place. If I come to this world again, it is my wife I will marry."

However, Harrison’s journey wasn’t just about health struggles; it was also marked by disappointment from some of his colleagues in the movie industry. The actor revealed that instead of offering support, some of his peers mocked him for his situation. One particular interview, in which a colleague publicly stated that he was "finished" and now living in his wife’s mother’s house, deeply upset Harrison.

He responded: "There was a time they interviewed someone, and he said, ‘Tito Harrison is finished. He’s now living in his wife’s mother’s house.’ I have the publication. Even if it’s true, must you say it? Even if it had been so, if you can’t rally around me, you don’t vilify me or kill my reputation."
