Jul 31 Mohbad’s Brother, Adura, Accuses VeryDarkMan of Taking N20M to Defend Naira Marley & Sam Larry

The ongoing fight for justice over the death of Nigerian singer Mohbad has taken a sharp and emotional twist as Adura, the late singer’s brother, has called out activist and social commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM) for allegedly betraying the cause.

Adura accused VDM of collecting ₦20 million to help "sanitize the image" of Naira Marley and Sam Larry, two figures who were heavily scrutinized after Mohbad’s death in 2023 over alleged bullying and assault.

🎥 "He Used to Call Them Out — Now He’s Defending Them"

To support his claim, Adura resurfaced an old video of VeryDarkMan where the activist condemned both Naira Marley and Sam Larry for bullying Mohbad and even accusing Naira Marley of sending thugs after rapper Ruggedman.

“This same wnker wey once shout say Sam Larry & Naira Marley bullied Mohbad… Today, he don wash am clean, turn clout errand boy for the same people wey break my brother,”* Adura wrote in a fiery post.

💰 “Where You See 20M?”

Adura didn’t hold back, questioning the source of the alleged funds VDM used during his self-claimed investigations into Mohbad’s death:

“@verydarkman where you see 20M wey you dey take lure people? From street judge to mumu messenger… See downgrade!!!”

He further mocked VDM’s followers, labeling them "manipulators" who have now "cast."

“Darkmumu and his dondi followers don cast. Awon manipulator aiye!!”

🗣️ Opinion: This Is No Longer Just a Search for Justice — It’s Turning Into War

This new development in the Mohbad justice movement raises serious questions about credibility, loyalty, and public manipulation. Whether or not the ₦20M claim is true, it reflects deep distrust and growing fatigue within the movement.

If VDM truly changed his narrative, the people deserve clarity. If Adura is misinformed, it must be addressed too. But more than anything, the focus should return to Mohbad — his life, his art, and the justice still hanging in the balance.
